Hey Everyone,

My Ball has been moving around all the time like he is trying to get out of his cage. I have had him for 3 years and he has never acted like this. Do you think that this is a breeding instinct? He is the only snake I have and has never moved this consistently or tried to get out this much ever.

thanks,
kenneth

It's been my expereince that if males aren't exposed to females they don't really show any breeding like instincts. Of course I could be wrong, but that's just what I have observed. I would guess your snake is either hungry or something in his environment is buggin him and he's looking for someplace more comfortable or maybe he's just exploring. Again I could be wrong but those are generally causes for abnormal activity in adults. If you do have a female nearby it's always possible hes looking to get some.
