Can you raise a male/female panther pair in same enclosure?

sebastian924 Jun 02, 2005 05:10 PM

I have a male panther and am soon going to be getting a female. Both will be approx. 4-5 months old. Can I raise them together for future breeding? Or is it a bad idea to house a male and female together before they are of breeding size? Thanks! By the way, the enlosure is 2'x2'x4'.

Chameleons are solitary animals. They will not thrive if kept together, meaning, same sex, different sex, or different species. The constant stress one imposes on the other is subtle and will eventually result in outward signs of a sick animal, at which often times the stress has reeked too much havoc on the internal physiology of the animal and the animal is lost. Do not keep chameleons together, period!
