caiman, croc and gator...

BIGTANK Jun 02, 2005 05:56 PM

I will try to put my gator, dwarf caiman and morelet croc together in the new outdoor enclousure... this is about 7 x 7 ft, will have a 65 gal pond and several hides... and all the boys (croc, caiman and gator) are almos the same size, arround 1 1/2 ft...

I know they can´t live there forever, but maybe 1 or 2 years, while they grow up.... then I will build more enclousures...

what do you guys think????

thanks

rick

It all depends on the Crocodilians and how they react to each other, it wont be good if one beats up on the others, you ouldnt want one to injure or possibly kill the others, not to mention stress issues.

You would just have to keep a really good eye on them once they are placed together to be sure they arent fighting, that sounds like it would be a pretty large enclosure for 3 animals of that size, so maybe it will work out.

I personaly keep a small dwarf caiman and a small siamese crocodile in the same enclosure, never any problems with them fighting, they get along great!! (but that is some what rare).

good luck!!

Just make sure that all of the animals are relatively the same size. If one is bigger than the others that can cause some problems. Crocodile_king is also right in my opinion. Just keep in mind on the size factor. I hope you aren't referring to keeping your Morelets that you was showing in those pictures with that dwarf? That morelets is far too big to be housed with that little dwarf.

Hope this helps

yes... all are about the same size

I have 2 pics of morelets, the small one is mine, the big one is how it is going to look

as I said, all are about 1 1/2 ft... and as it is going to be a new enclousure, no one feels it is his territory... all are going to be new in there

hope it can work...

thanks again
