What would be the ideal cage size for a 3-4 month veiled chameleon?
I was planning on making 24L*18W*24H for my future cham, just wanted to make sure. I will also use this as my future sunning cage.

That sounds good except you may want to make it twice as high. I bought a screen cage and it is 18"x18x36" and it works great. My 3 month old veiled loves it! You will need a taller cage if you want to put a plant in there (and you need lots of foilage...the babies especially love to grab leave stems and sleep under leaves). I recommend Schefflera...It is one of the best plants to use for baby veileds or really any chameleon. You will need a taller cage for one of these those. (Home Depot..$6, guarenteed for a year)
On the subject of Schefflera's from HD....Mine seems to be dying and losing leaves directly under the UV light. Is it just getting too much light in these areas? Is there any remedy?

Yeah I have a baby Ficus, baby Hibiscus, and a smaller Umbrella, as well as two pothos plants. So I'm fine with plants, and each should be able to fit into a cage that is 24" tall.

I got my male when he was about 2 months and put him in a 12Dx24Lx24T and I would say it was adequate for his first few months, but from 6 months on he definately needed a bigger setup now a 24x36x48 and I am considering altering this one to be 24x72x72. ::sigh:: they sure do grow up fast ;p
