i have a 3 year old male and latley he seems to be yawning. his temperment and eating habit has stayed the same except for this "yawning". anyone know what it is?

This "yawning" is just your snake re-aligning its jaw.
Mine do this to sometimes for no reason at all. If it happens after feeding they are realigning their jaw, otherwise, who knows? Maybe they are just bored. Wouldn't you be if you were in a cage all your life with a bowl, a plastic box for a cave and your only excitement was the weekly rat carcase you get to constrict even though it is already dead and the hand that comes into your cage to grab your poop.
