In the pic she is compared to a half-sister, can you see the difference in the eye color? I thought it looked pretty cool. Enjoy the pic.

wow that's very interesting, I have several Tremper's and I've never seen the 'grey' eyes like that before..i always get the normal ones like so:

Even stranger, I just took a closer look at her, no red lines! No red lines at all. In fact, her eyes appear to be the exact same coloration of a normal leopard gecko. Wonder how common these guys are in herpetoculture?

to have grey eyes instead of the normal pink eyes. Infact, I have never seen a red eyed Vegas, or a very pink eye Vegas. However I don't think it is very common for Tremper albinos to have grey eyes, they normally have the pink eyes, with a few having red eyes. It may just be from lower incubation tempertures.
albinos it seems likely both having grey or dark eyes... i have not seem very many adult tremper with red eyes or even pink.. i have seen babies though but they change. the pinkest/redest eyes i have seen are on bell albinos which i believe to be a T- form of albinism. i checked out my trepmer albinos and both have kinda dark grey green eyes

Here is a pic of a baby bell albinos eyes, it is a horrible picture but you can still see the color. My trempers eyes are more of a greyish color. here is the pic...

Because Bell's seem to have the same coloration as some of the dark Tremper albinos. I have not seen any non-brown Bell albinos, the only non-brown albinos I've seen were Tremper albinos and SFgecko's Vegas albinos. If these albinos were T , then would they be able to produce the non-brown albinos, even if the Tremper form is created by the Tremper incubation method?
As for the eyes, my female Tremper albino who is 1 1/2 years old has clearly pink eyes, as well as my year old Tremper Giant albino. The Tremper albinos that Ron Tremper has seem to have pretty bright pink eyes. To be honest I have not seen many grey eyed Tremper albinos, like the one in the above post.
whatever gave you that idea?

Even the very first Bells I had, which were some of the first ones produced, weren't brown. They are more of a pinkish/red with yellow/orange highlights. It's hard to describe, you really have to see a Bell albino in person to really appreciate their beauty. They are my favorite albino line.

I have seen brown Bell albinos, some that were as dark as some of the Tremper albinos can get. And the bells in the picture seem to have very very dark purple on their bodies, with brown on their head and tails. The picture of your bell breeder group on your website seem to have brown on them from the look of the picture. Don't get me wrong, I think that Bell albinos are beautiful, I'm just thinking that Bell albinos don't fill the definition of a T- albino. But I havn't seen one in person, so I wouldn't know for sure.
i hate the new forums

I agree, my bell albinos are kinda more of a dark pinkish color, not brown. Yours are much nicer than mine, but i am going to breed mine to my tang carrottail and hopefully i will one day have some as nice as yours.

Umm, sorry about the whole killer mosquito problem....I guess they just like you.
Yeah, I've seen the real pale/greyish albino eyes, but this girl has no red veins in them, in fact the veins are black with a tan color in between the veins giving it the grey coloration. They are just a tad bit lighter than a normal leos eyes. It's very, very strange, defiantly a keeper!

I thought someone might bring that up, so I took a photo of the grey-eyed albino with our darkest eyed rainwater, our male rainwater albino patternless (thanks Kelli!). Here is the photo:

Now here is the grey-eyed girl compared to a blizzard het.

She was incubated at 80 degrees; we compared her to others incubated at the same temp. Still a huge difference looks just the like photo I first posted. It appears temp. does not effect eye coloration. I would still be interested in hearing form others who have seen this.

I got some of my first Tremper albinos from a local friend of mine. I had told her I wanted a male albino and 2 female hets. WHen she delivered the geckos to me she said something like, "These are weird looking hets." and I looked at them and after studying them for a minute realized they weren't hets, they were albinos! My friend didn't believe me at first because you could hardley tell, they were so dark. I can't remember if their eyes were as dark as yours are Justyn. Mine ended up being very dark (but very pretty) Tremper albinos, sorta like those chocolate ones you see sometimes. Anyway, I'll stop rambling now.
