Nice start to my retirement.

Illianareps Jun 03, 2005 12:34 AM

I just retired from teaching.Went fishing tonight and came home to a nice mess of squirmers.Haven't counted yet,but a pretty good litter.I have had enough pills to open up a pharmacy this year, and although a few more critters should be here soon, this was a welcome sight.Be talking to everyone now that I am "out to pasture."

I'm glad you were rewarded with such a nice litter after a day of watching the fish take your bait LOL. Ah Tim, are you sure you're retired? The kids have been showing up to school each day asking, "where's Mr. Frazier?" I hope if you ever make your way to New England you'll look me up. I can fit that 50 foot RV in my driveway LMAO. Good luck with your other litters.

Are those babies from the hypo that you got from me?

Hi Chris. This litter was fathered by a tiny guy from Tim's harlequin line.Your fellow is doing great and was a very active breeder this year.

What a way to start a retirement! Fishing and Boas...doesn't sound bad too me! We've got a big pond out back that's got lots of catfish and perch and stuff...I just might have to go fishing myself LOL!

Congrats again!

Thanks to everyone concerning the babies.

True fishing story here.I was bass fishing in a contest recently and stood up to set the hook on a nice Bass.Yelled,"Get the net" as I knew it was going to be a good fish.My partner bent over to get the net and here is where it gets interesting.

I have absolutely no a-- whatsoever.I have thought of permanently velcroing some sort of doodad on top of my back and then having my pants custom made with a velcroe attachment.Anyway,I set the hook and my pants slide down to my knees. No freaking way am I going to lose the fish,so I continued to fight the fish semi-nude,unbeknownst to my fishing partner who is reaching for the net and who has his backside to me...uh...about a foot or so away.

Just then a tour pontoon boat, chocked full of old gray-haired women tools by,close enough to see that I don't have any pants on and that there is another bent-over old man in an unusual position, squatting down in the boat.I believe that "pervert" might have been the kindest thing that they yelled at us.I did land the Bass and it was 4 pounds,so it was worth it.

Actually, that wasn't nearly as embarrasing as the time my pants fell down in Wall-Mart when my wife placed a bunch of packages in my arms to carry to the counter.

Now you will have lot's more time to think up whacky stuff to make us giggle.....right? I used to love your stories and the way you would come up with something so hilariously absurd right in the middle of a flame war. There are no real flame wars here anymore, but don't let that stop you. I know you can make us laugh.....even when we're already happy
