I beg your puddin!!! The 'Leucistic'produced by Kevin of NERD was in fact a Pearl, not a Leucistic. Eric Davies(AKA Rick Page) and his son Andrew from Manchester UK, where the first to breed a true Leucistic in captivity - the Blackeyed. Vin Russo was the first to produce the blue eyed Lucy, quickly followed by Ralph Davis.

Who produced he Angolan first? Also who produced offspring from the Angolan Ball first? I'm curious about this one.

God produced the first Angolan. I think NERD produced the first Angolan Ball (could be wrong on that one) And I beleive Renaisance Reptiles produced the first offspring from their Angolan Balls.

Nerd Produced the first Angolan/Ball cross. TW International was the 2nd one to produce its own line of Angolan/Ball crosses. We actually produced offspring from our crosses first also unless Nerd has done it and not said anything. Renaisance was 2nd to produce offspring to the crosses. But Nerd or someone correct me if Im wrong..This will be our 3rd year with the crosses.

Sorry Brandie - I hadn't heard that you'd gotten offspring from yours. My mistake! Congrats, did you cross the offspring or breed them back to balls or angolans? They are cute little guys, I'd love to see what they look like as adults! I'm still trying to decide if I want to try an Angolan ball clutch this season.

Tosha,
We really did not elaborate on producing the F-2 generation Angolan crosses and proving out the viability of the male crosses. To many negative e-mails !!! So this is a little project that we kept to ourselves. What we did was produce or first clutch of Angolan Ball crosses in 02' then raised up one of the males and then in late 03' we bred him back to his mom since we know that she is compatable with him and BOOM we hit lucky this time and produced 4 ( 1.3 ratio )more crosses and 6 normals. Right now she is gravid with 16 eggs from the male cross again and should be due any day. What we would like to see happen with these is produce at the very least an Albino Angolan cross this next season.

Although there is allot of skepticism on this matter we will let anyone who ask know that to this date we have only let go of 1.1 of the crosses to Steve Roussis and I know that he probably will not be letting them go anytime soon. I have kept extensive records on this little project and would like to see some really nice crosses with the other morphs that are out there. This is truly a hybrid project in no doubt is a hybrid lovers delight. Everyone has there own little niche that they enjoy in this hobby and this project gives those who loves hybridization something to read and enjoy and hopefully own one day, because let me tell you this has not been one of the easiest projects to complete. By the way we also have gravid Angolan X Angolan females and can offer a variety in this species, so hybridization is not the only focus we have....

Thanks,
Wyatt
