I've never considered him anything but a VERY beautiful snake. And I've CERTAINLY NEVER considered him "normal." When I bought him, no one was saying ANYTHING about fires on ANYTHING. I got to pick the first guy out of the CH clutch, but he had 4 clutchmates JUST like him (the thought of someone possibly unwittingly having a PET worth so much just makes me chuckle!). They were blinding. Now, I think he has a very HIGH possibility of being a fire. Regardless, he IS NOT a normal. Do you need natural light? I can get that, you know.
As the fire descriptions came out, I began to realize that people were breeding the very same patterns that make him special. Like I said before, the proof is in the incubator!
I'll put him up against ANYONE'S adult fire, ANYDAY! Based on the other possible girl I obtained about six months after this guy, I think the fires could possibly wind up being a lot more variable than people have thought up until now. So a lucy could come along as early as next year. This year, he bred a girl that MIGHT be a YB, so we may see something AS definitive as a Lucy, but new!!!!!!!!!! How exciting!
You say I should wait for a Lucy before calling it fire? Shouldn't others wait for a "nothing" before calling it normal? That's ok...I like being underestimated. In the beautiful words of Jefferson himself: "wait'll they get a load of me!"
