Strog Light to Pacmans?

CokeofMan Jul 13, 2003 10:11 AM

I've heard strog light isn't apricciated by pacmans. So my question is I have 2 light (Tubes I think u call em) one UV and one with regular lighting. I s'pose these give a pretty strong light, and is there a bigger chance for the frog to dehydrate if I use these? Or should I maybe use a undertank heating?

Do not use under tank heating for these frogs, they burrow to get out of the ehat. Try your light for it, but put a thermometer in the tan on the side of the glass, as long as the light don't bring your tank over 80 degrees it's fine. And you don't need those special light bulbs for them.

Yes, make sure that it's not over 80-82 degree, the temp. should be around 78-82 degree...they can descacate very easily at higher tempture and make sure the substrate is moist. Frogs loves moisture because the skinless frog looses water almost as quickly as frogs with intact skin. If it's moist also make sure there is enough ventalation which is important. Stagnent air and high humidity is a breeding ground for germs and fungus. And spot clean the area where the frog deficate and change the substrate if it needs be ( like if you see fungus, gnats, etc... ).
