What to supplement feeding with?

Cataphract Jun 03, 2005 07:50 PM

So my little guy is eating crickets as his staple diet, with some waxworms when i have them (also loves the moths the waxworms metamorphasize into, plump little flyers!) And I want to know what to try to supplement with....What kind of greens (might) he eat (i know many don't like greens/refuse to eat them) or fruit or anything really. I was thinking of setting up a waxworm breeding colony, and I have a kingworm colony (he's not eating them or anything, i'm waiting for the beetles to have their next season so i can feed him the 1cm long newly hatched pupae, the adult worms are for my leopard/general fun). Anything anyone can suggest? Anyone know of any good insect breeding sites (for waxworm info)? Suggestions? Comments? Let's hear 'em!

I heard the roaches work well and you can get a start up colony in the feeder classified section of this site. Catch grasshoppers if they are avaiblable.

most collareds don't eat greens but you should feed greens to the crickets you are feeding to the lizards because they get nutrients from that
