sick tomato frog

mintaka Jun 03, 2005 09:34 PM

any ideas what is wrong with the frog on the right?? i thought maybe he was not shedding properly due to calcium deficiency so i have been drenching the crickets in calcium-he is eating fine, but no change. as you can see the other frog is unaffected so it probably isnt anything contagious.

I don't know what that is. I will say that you are tempting fate by not separating the frogs. If you don't know what you are dealing with then assume it is contagious. Many amphib diseases take a long time for the symptoms to appear. You seriously should find a vet in the area. there are some websites to check for vets in your area. arav.org is one. there are also websites that talk about diseases http://www.klsnet.com/sickamph.html should still be good. I haven't checked the site in a long time
