Here are my cage options:
(Numbers Corr. to the description below)

1. I like it, but it is very horizontal...can a...8 month old baby grow up to be an adult in this type of setup? If i crowd it with a bunch of plants to not make it stressed out? For heating I would have to use a Lamp correct? or can I place a heat Panel on top of this enclosure? I never seen the enclosure so i dont know how think it is.

2. Almost the same type as the first one but is more vertical and has 2 perches...can this enclsure be used to raise a baby to an adult? again, if I crowd it up when its a baby so it doesnt become stressed? I suppose I would have to use a lamp to heat this because of the screen top?

3. Basic Tub...I read that GTPs can live in one their whole life...but cant I just use enclosures such as 1 and 2 and crowd them up so it doesnt seem so "open" so they dont get stressed???? The only problem I have with this is my feeding...I am kind of hesitant to open the lid and then stick the rat in his/her face...I would perfer having a slide door so I could at least use the glass to protect ME...what are your opinions?

4. Vision 222 enclosure...would I use a lamp or heat panel to heat this setup? Is it worth the money? Can I raise a baby to an adult in here if I fill it with a bunch of plants? or will it still be stressed out?

**Sorry if I am using your picture...I need people's advice on setups! Thanks!

Might i suggest that you go right back to page 8 of this forum (and subforums) and read all the posts?? There is a wealth of info already typed up and ready to go... GTPs are reasonably difficult to keep if you've never kept snakes before, Have you?

Good luck, but be warned... you're probably gonna need several enclosures, because just one snake is not going to be enough

Pics 1 and 2 are Doug Barr's herpcages.com. He has been making cages for many many years. Give him a call. He was more than happy to answer my questions regarding cage size and design, even if it meant less money for him (he recomended a smaller and lesss expensive cage than what I assumed I needed). He has a great reputation.
