Hi, nice looking babies. I was wondering what the parents were? Did you get any Hypos?

No I didn't get any hypos from the mom this year. But I did last year (about 11). I kept 4 of those females. The father of those was a double het hypo double het ghost. The mom is a 100% kahl strain het and the father is a 100% het albino 50% het for snow from CV exotics. I spoke with Scott there this morning. He said that the males parents were possible het for sunglow. I am so lit up about this. I only got the one sunglow and the other albino but I would much rather have this then another 4 albinos. There also looks to be several anytheristics among the sunglow siblings which I guess will be 66%. I wonder how much I should ask for the siblings?

To make a Sunglow baby, you'd need at least one of the parents to be either a Sunglow, or a Hypo that's het for Albino. The other parent can be a het for albino, an Albino, or the same as the 1st parent. It didn't sound like that was the combination that you had, especially since you didn't produce any Hypos. The pics looked like a pair of Albinos (one looked nicer than the other) but not Sunglows. They are nice though. Take care.
