Outdoor setup for common snapper

jake316 Jun 04, 2005 01:36 PM

I just found a common snapping turtle in the middle of the road. I find that very unusual but anyways, its about 8 inches longs and very healthy. I would like to build it an outdoor setup. What should I use and how should it be constructed? I want it to be top notch. Does anyone have any pictures of theirs? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Common snappers actually leave the water a pretty good bit, despite their reputation for never leaving it. I used to see them on the road quite alot until they started being killed profusely and are not as common to see anymore.
