Go to a pond supply place or a large aquarium place (like Aquarium World) they haveheavy duty liners. I wouldn't worry about it riping though. I keep a 6 foot caiman in a pond built with a drop in liner.

Exactly how thick is the stuff? I was looking at it a long time ago from kens fish farm and I thought that my snappers would rip right thru it. How much is it and how thick?

My father lucked out and he used some liner that they line roofs with. The stuff is thick! It is for large buildings. I think the stuff is 1/2in thick rubber.

I really would not worry about your turtle ripping through a heavy duty liner. The worst thing are jagged rocks and branches.
