Sluggish Tegu

Mikal Jun 04, 2005 03:17 PM

My female Black/White has recently slowed down a lot, sleeps a lot, and will hardly eat. When she walks, she is very clumsy as if its painful for her. Could this be beginning MBD? If a lizard gets MBD, what does a vet do for it that I could not already other than diagnos it? Do they have a special treatment?

Best regards,
Mikal

Sluggish, lazy, and lethargic altogether. All legs move overexagurate as in she steps real high and slow as if in a little bit of an ache. Ambient temperatures are 83-90 (I'm in Vegas) and basking is at around 120. I use Repti-cal calcium and the vitamins that coincides with the calcium in turkey mixed with veggies. All my others are fine and healthy, moving around.

Best regards,
Mikal
