these are the craziest things. they grow to 2 inches long. i just fed one to one of my females. you should google them to see how big they get. it took her for ever to swallow it. out here in northern nevada they are everywhere. weve had an infestation of them. they eat all the crops but i dont mind, because theyre huge and easy to catch and since my lizards love them so much i rarely have to spend very much money at the pet stores. they are everywhere out here some of our roads have turned solid red from cars running them over.

That's interesting I wonder if they'll get to Ely, Nevada. Anyways, I've heard the infestation was terrible this year in Nevada and that every year they come a little farther south.

Ezra loves swallowing super large bugs. I caught him an XL grasshopper and he started to swallowing it and needed to breath, so he spit it out. Then looked at it (dead) and picked it back up and down it went to lizard tummy.

We get those here every summer too. The only thing is, here they spray poison and stuff to kill them(which doesn't really do a number to them). But the point is, I'm too afraid to feed them to my herps for fear of poisoning. If no poison is sprayed where you live, you are lucky. It can last you all summer without buying crickets once.
