Is this a good sign?

SecretSReptiles Jun 04, 2005 09:41 PM

We are closing up our animal room, and checking on water for one last time. Noticed this female crested is laying in her nest cup. There is moist moss inside. Could this mean she's very close to laying her eggs? And yes, she was seen breeding.
She didn't even move when I took her pictures. I only took two so I didn't disturb her too much.

We just got her last week, and the fella told us she's possibly gravid, but she hooked up with a male the night before she was shipped to us.

yea, i would also recommend checking under the moss first thing in the morning. theres a possibility she's laying a pair right there.

Matter in fact, she laid her eggs! I'm guessing during those pictures, she was laying them. Checked early last night, and saw them under the moss Two nice white big eggs.

looks great...keep checking the nest box...after laying they usually hold and protect the eggs for a while with their back legs
