Could someone give me some information on how to keep/breed these pythons. How is there temperement and are they difficult to breed?

but I saw a young one at the St. Louis zoo recently and fell in love. I would like to get a pair in the future.

I bred Timors in '01 and '02 with standard python breeding techniques. It was fairly straight foward with no surprises.
As for temperament, they can be fairly nervous snakes. They aren't biters, but will musk when young. They outgrow this with gentle handling.
Hope this helps.

Just a question, how old were your adults when you bred them in '01 and '02 ?

I have 3.2 adults that I tried to breed last year with no luck. It was my first attempt. They were raised from babies and are now 6 years old. I've heard conflicting data on the age in which this species becomes sexually mature...

Thanks,

Chris

The adults were 4 years old when they first produced.

Hey,
I havnt accually kept them myselve but i have a friend who is trying to breed them and hes had them breeding size for about 2 years but nothing has happened. They are definatly difficult for a python to brred but since there hasnt been alot of people trying i guess it just seems difficult cuz theres not enough info out there for people, but as years go on and people do trial and error more info should come. As far as keeping they are somewhat hard to eshtablish from what my friend said but after they are they do quite well and one of his has an awesome and the other has a pretty iffy one but i guess they both came in terrible.

Good Luck
Jay
