Underweight Leos . . .

MajesticRose Jun 05, 2005 10:18 AM

Ok . . . So both of my males and one of my females are extremely underweight . . . They eat very well, but don't seem to be keeping anything on that they eat . . .

I've been feeding them crickets at least 3 days a week . . . tails are like skinny sticks . . . Any ideas on how to fatten them up??

do you gutload your crickets and dust them. because all the neutriants are in the gut loading and dus crickets them selves have nothing in them.

Ditto... sounds like a parasitic infection. Take fresh fecals to a veterinarian to identify what type, and get them started on the correct medication ASAP.

I agree, definately get a fecal done. If they are housed with any other geckos seperate them immediately and give them each their own tank. If it turns out to be parasites i would deworm all of the leo;s that they were housed with, even if they look healthy
