I was cleaning the reptile room and had the cover off the Somali's cage. Amani climbed up on his tree and was watching every move I made. He made no attempt to come out, just was very curious as to what I was doing. Just had to share, enjoy.

Thanks Scott. The girl is doing well also, but she is a little more skittish. The male will sit quietly on my hand for a little while before wanting to make a move. You still never see them eat, but of course the dish is always empty. LOL How is your crew doing? Any of your eggs make it?

Yup, all the girls in this group are more skittish as well. Everyone is acclimating fine now, with weights on the rebound. All are in opaque containers and they don't deal well with my presence unless cold.

Just a few eggs left. Three or four, the rest have molded and it looks like two are collapsing. One of them is covered in dark spots but retaining its volume while the others look fine. Lost one of the ocellated girlies during C-section. I hope this isn't a pattern!

Cloudy and gloomy down here... the ones nearest the window have only com out briefly and I'm not too motivated myself!

Once I forgot and left the cover off of their cage and both of them used the tree to escape. I came in the reptile room and saw the empty cage and was going to panic, but I looked over and both of them were sitting on the love seat, quite comical. I just went over and picked them up. I don't know how they react in the wild, but if they don't run it's easy to see how they are caught.
