Pastels 100% het Genetic Stripe

Corey Woods Jun 05, 2005 07:30 PM

The first clutch of year hatched out today. I was scheduled to pip the eggs on day 52 which was today (Sunday), however, when I went to check up on them Saturday night all 7 heads were watching me walk into the incubator room. Im incubating at 89.1F this year.

Out of the 7 eggs from Genetic Stripe x Pastel I hatched out 1.1 Pastel 100% het Genetic Stripe and 3.2 100% het Genetic Stripes. I was hoping for a couple more pastels but I'm very happy with a pair!

Here are some pics.

Male Pastel 100% het Genetic Stripe

Female Pastel 100% het Genetic Stripe

The 2 Pastels together.

The entire clutch

Enjoy,
Corey

Congrats Cory! This is a project that I believe has legs, BIG ONES! I can't wait to see the first pastel stripes and clowns this year. We are already working on the pastel pied project and hope to produce one next year, if we are lucky. Best wishes Douglas Beard and Janie Malsin

Those are AWESOME Corey,

2 years ago the Pastel Het Stripes I produced looked like Super Pastels. When they came out, I was SOO shocked. I actually thought the pastel had retained sperm because the year before I bred her to my Male Pastel, but wasn't successful in production. So, I was PUZZLED as to why they looked like Supers. Then I went to the Sutherlands and saw their Pastels Het Stripe looked just like mine, and they also looked like Supers!!!! I hope to have some more this year too. Can you imagine a SUPER PASTEL STRIPE?? Even a Pastel Stripe. WOW the Future is bright. Best of luck in the project. Congrats on the great looking Pastels.
