Basements are perfect for incubators! They are relatively stable in temps and rarely do they exceed 75F during the summer months (unless you have your reptiles in the basement). If the basement isn't the option (such as you are in an apartment) you'll have to air condition the room the incubator is in. If this is the case move the incubator to your bedroom as that'll give you an excuse to sleep in air conditioning!
In my experience for incubators to work properly for incubating python eggs (approximately 89-90F) the ambiant room temp should stay below 83F......preferably below 80F but above 70F.

yea..basement......
today.....southeast Pa..90 outside........
hot and HUMID at work and outside......
I actually went into the snake room (cellar) with a heater running and cooled off......
84 and high humidity and the incubaters running as they should at 89 / 90........
......
hot rooms..........other would be air conditioning .......incubater would run alot more but still work better than getting the eggs at 94 plus......

...........and yet again.........by the stupid post you just made......another breeder has been proven to be just a numbnuts with some cash and not the real snake smarts he thought he had.........yeeeaaaaabooooooyyyyzzzzz.......LMFAO......
Here in Florida you need your central airconditioner from about early may until september to keep ambient temps withing limits for incubators. In times of power outages during these months(thunderstorms and hurricanes)I have been using ice cubes and cool (gel) packs inside incubators with good luck...
Hope this helps.
