milki Jun 06, 2005 06:14 AM

hey guys i doest started trying to undestand the genntic of the morphs of boas. and i have a few question. plz forgive me for the beginner question.
so those are my questions:
how many simple reccive mrophs boas gots? and what are they?(like the albino and the anery)
what more double homozigut morphs was created? (snow, ghost)
what co-dominant mrophs boas have? (hypo?)
are the super hypo and the super salomon are homozigut for the co dominant gen?
did any one produce triple homozigut?
i know there is a way to see the morphs on the babys by looking at the tail how can you see that?]
thank you guys...

Copy this: http://www.kingsnake.com/boamorphs/ and paste it to your browser this may help. There are so many different genetic traits these days. This might help explain some of them.

to begin, like the post above stated, go to the boa morph page on kingsnake in the caresheet section for a list, pictures and information about most all of the boa morphs. as far as being able to tell a het animal from a non het animal from teh tail of a baby, this is only true for the salmon or hypo morph (and those with the same genetic characteristics) as the gene involved is co-dominent and there for the het will looks visually differnt from a normal. as far as recessive traits such as anery and albino, there is no way to tell a het animal from a non het animal.

I would probably be able to help you more if your questions made any sense, and if you spelled at least P of your words correct. I say if you're going to ask for help at least put some effort into it.
