Building a Home Made Incubator - Need a bit of advice

I am working on a Home Made incubator for my ball python eggs. Have more eggs coming then expected this year so time to expand.

I am planning on using one of those mini fridges that are about 3ft tall with heat tape in the bottom and a Helix to control the temperature.

I have most of the design down but my biggest question is about air flow. How much do I need?

I know I can't just close them up in there, so I plan to put some holes in the fridge but don't know how many I need to put in.

Any advice on this one?

Thanks so much,

Paul

I wouldn't put any holes in the fridge what I use in a small incubator is a fan out of a computer. I leave the fan run 24 hours a day. I keep the air circulating in the incubator and when I open the incubator to check the eggs they get fresh air.

Putting holes in the fridge will only defeat the purpose of a well insulated incubator. Is the fridge operational? If so you can try using the existing blower fan that is in it. Just disconnect the compressor and leave 120V to the fan. If it is too much air, just use a computer fan. The only purpose of the fan is to avoid dead spaces in the air so that the incubator heats evenly and maintains proper temps.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for the advice.

I figured that there would need to be some kind of holes in the fridge to allow the eggs to get some air.

I'll post pictures of my finished product in a few days. Thanks all!!
