hatchlings eat?

skanndelus Jun 06, 2005 01:35 PM

im not sure if my hatchlings are eating.. i provide small crickets and meal worms but i'm not convinced they are feeding. what is the best/easiest way to ensure they eat (besides ripping off the crickets hind legs). =)

Cut the butt off a cricket and hold it so that the guts are hanging out (I know it sounds so gross) then gently pick up the gecko and let it lick the guts. Usually it will grab it right out of your hand and it will get the taste instilled in their brain so after that my hatchlings ate like pigs. Not even 2 months old and they are 15g!
