...No not me....
I bred an admittedly smallish nigrita female this year to one of my large males. Everything went on schedule until it came time to lay. She laid two exceptionally large (for nigrita) eggs and appeared to have at least 3 more of that size (or 6 normal sized) still in there. That was 5/31. After a day she had not passed another but was soaking in the small water bowl as best she could. I figured that even if she layed them in the bowl that would be better than losing her to egg binding. I had considered "helping" her out for sure.
Anyway, on 6/02 she passed another double sized egg(layed in the box like a good girl) but again still had what appeared to be 2 mor like sized left to go. Again, I was thinking of assisting her.
She did the same routine until today when she laid the last of 5 eggs. None were in the water bowl all were in the box. It seemed she was just resting/soaking after each one. Then heading to the box to lay. hmmm..
Have any of you had similar occurences??
She's in great shape and all the eggs are too.

That is an odd story for sure. I have only seen snakes take several days to deposit slugs,..........never eggs. I am glad she pulled through for you, I think it would be interesting to see if the same pairing produces above average sized eggs again even if she is much larger next season. The only snake I hear about having odd shaped/sized eggs with some regularity is Hondurans. Did you candle the eggs? I hope they hatch for you. Maybe they will all be twins?????? Tom Stevens

Mark,
I had an almost identical situation this year. One of my adult easterns het for amel passed all exceptionaly large/double yolk eggs. One 4" egg ruptured through the side of her prolapsed oviduct. She laid a total of 7 eggs that day and one week later passed three very normal sized slugs. All eggs were infertile. In an effort to prevent another cluch this year, I have not fed her since laying. Last year she also laid a clutch of large infertile eggs.
