What size cage? What is it for? how many are you looking to build? how much woodworking experience do you have? price limit? weight limit? do you want something more of a showcase tank or what?

Eh...I want it to be about 5 feet long and 1 1/2 feet high and 2 1/2 feet wide. I want to house two bearded dragon females... almost adult size. I want it to look nice, something to be proud of with a $300 price limit. I have NO experience what-so-ever, BUT I am taking woodshop next year

The previous poster is correct, we need more information. Plans for a large plastic cage holding a caiman are much different that a small glass cage that would hold a cornsnake.

1) What species is this for?

2) What types of materials are you considering for the cage?

3) Are you going for any particular design features?

4) Are you building a cage to save money, to get exactly what you want, or both?

>>1) What species is this for? 2 Adult, Female, Bearded Dragons

Bearded Dragons are pretty easy to build cages for. They don't need to be particuarly secure or humidity resistant. Just avoid acrylic as they scratch the heck out of it.

If you want to build a cage out of glass you're better off reading DIY aquarium sites. Lots of them out there.

>>3) Are you going for any particular design features? Like what?

Anything. A certain size, certain placement of ventilation, whatever?

>>4) Are you building a cage to save money, to get exactly what you want, or both? To get exactly what I want, and to learn how to build cages.

You'll need to decide exactly what you want. You may ask for input on the Bearded Dragon forum if you have not already.
