As I was taking the babies away from mom I noticed a kink in the back of one of the females. It is a pretty big kink. Is there any thing I should do or worry about. She has not shed yet so I don't know if she will eat. Any help would be great.

I had a clutch of 4 eggs one went bad within the first 3 weeks, the other 3 went full term and were ALL pastels but the only female pastel was kinked really bad, she died 2 days later, that was a good thing since I would have had to put her down anyway. It was kinked about the same but worse, I would freeze it. Thanks David

If it eats and acts normally I would keep it as a pet or give it away. If it's worse than it looks and the animal may be suffering then it would probably be best to have it euthanized or freeze it.

see if it can live normaly without any problems...if it eats grows etc...no need to kill it....you got a new pet...i've seen plenty balls with kinks live normal lives....

I've had snakes with kinks and kinks and alot of kinks.......
I breed a fluorescent corn with kinks and she lays great fat eggs every year.......

I also feed kinked snakes to coral snakes and cobras alot....

THAT is a BAD kink.......it is near the back end of the animal correct........

sorry.........that would be frozen or put away any way you consider to be more humane....

really.......that thing is dented way beyond stuff that lives here.......

The kink is about 2" from the head. She has been alive for 6 days now. She seems to be ok but like I said she has not ate yet. I guess only time will tell.
