PhilLaCroix Jun 06, 2005 08:46 PM

Well I origionally came on here to find out how long a veiled will stay under the sand in the laying bucket for, but as I am writing this my female is now coming out of her tunnel. She has been in there since 8:30am est, about 13 hours. I will post again once she is done burying the eggs and give you guys the final count.

I don't know of anyone who doesn't get nervous/anxious about
their chameleon when its laying eggs! Welcome to the club!

30 is a good number....your feeding habits/temperature levels
IMHO must be good. In my experience, I have found that when my
chameleons produce between 20 and 30 eggs they live longer and
recover more easily from the process.

Now...if the egglaying process made you nervous/anxious....get
ready for the egg hatching! Waiting for so many months can be
worse!

If you need/want incubation information, just ask!
