Not familiar with that brand but I was in the bath product industry for years. All bath caulks I know of have a mildewcide in them. In aquarium use it is deadly. I would not like to try it on reptiles especilly if high heat is used where it might degas. I use only clear 100% silicone. It will glue almost anything but plexi and I believe there is a special one for that now.

Looked at the site. They specify a mildew resistant caulk and supposedly use it themselves. I guess I always error on the side of caution, especially with any poison, which is what mildew resistant items contain. Painting over will help. Just be observant for problems.

Heat will help. I don't know much about turtles/tortoises but that looks like a fine animal. Good Luck.

If I were going to use any type of caulking or silicone seal I would buy the silicone seal that is made for use in aquariums. The more common / readily available caulks and silicone seals let off a gas that is harmful to animals, fish, etc. There is a silicone seal that is made for use in aquariums and is completely safe. The packaging is very clear about being safe. No need to buy it at a pet store. It's available at Home Depot, Lowes, etc.

After doing LOTS of silicone research for making a rock background that was safe for underwater use in an aquarium.

What i found is that GE actually made an aquarium silicone for all glass. It was sold as a crack/leak repair. All glass stopped selling this silicone. Ge still makes the silicone and its known as Ge silicone I for windows. It actually used to say safe for aquariums until someone sued them because they made a whole aquarium out of the stuff and their aqaurium fell apart. crazy huh.... So, now there is now aqaurium safe label for legal reasons.

DO NOT use anything that has the mildewcides and what not. Play it safe.
