Here are some pictures of the progress I've made so far on my new pond. It took me two weekends of hard labor to get this far!
Before digging:

End of day 1:

First layer dug:

Finished digging:

8 month old chessie puppy Logan trying to figure out what is going on:

Liner in place and filling:

Pond nearly full:

Liner trimmed and landscaping begun:

Raw materials:

Phase I complete:

Picture from the southwest corner:

This is how the waterfall started:

This is how it looks now with the limestone in place:

I think I'm going to turn it slightly to the right to use one stone as the spillstone instead of splitting it between two like I'm doing now:

-----
1.0 Common Snapping Turtle (Goliath)
1.0 Brown Anole (Anubis)
1.0 Green Anole (Baal)
1.1 Great Basin Collared Lizards (Amon, Amaunette)
0.1 Chilean Rose Hair Tarantula (Spiega)
1.0 Chesapeake Bay Retriever (Logan)
0.1 Spoiled Mutt (Storm)

It will pay off when you sit on one of those lawn chairs and just let your mind go, as you look at the slow rippling water and hear the peaceful sound of the water trickling!
