was thinking about getting this cage....

yavannaus Jun 07, 2005 03:49 PM

http://www.cagesbydesign.com/cages/specials_reptile.asp the cage i am wanting to get is the third one down. well, okay, so i really want the first one, but i just dont have the room for it, unless i give up my bedroom and move out onto the couch. i love my iggs, but i love my bed too...
anyway, in that picture, are those full grown iguanas? I have one full grown female (she is a bit stunted. she suffered from MBD when i first adopted her, and is only 1 and 1/2 ft SNV), and also have a juvinile male. That cage should be big enough for a while, right? And later on i could buy another one if i need to and just add them together or keep the two iggies seperate.

Let me know what you think.

Thanks!

Hey, wow! I wish i could afford one of those cages! They are absolutely beautiful! As a matter of fact , i just got done repairing my lil iggy's cage about 10 minutes ago . lol. but anyhow i LOVE the first cage! It is huge though.. not to mention the price they want for it. But the third cage is just as nice. I mean Gorgeous! So life-like. Im sure any iguana would be happy to have a home like that! I do believe those are adult iguanas. If not adult, then pretty darn close. But yeah great.

IMO no not full-sized. The one on the left shelf (Basic Setup Includes standard features listed at top of page. Reg. $2009.95 Now only $1,769.95) looks like a 1 1/2 to two year old. The other is hard to discern. In any case, I think that is a fine cage for one adult iguana. Two 7 year-olds would be in each others face all the time. It might work for two juvvies for a while. But iguanas are born mean to each other, and can easily do their dominion trip at any time.
