New scarlet

caecilianman02 Jun 07, 2005 06:23 PM

It looks like I am off to a much greater start with my second scarlet snake than my first. I have ordered the scarlet snake in the clasifieds- the 24" male. I am excited because it has been treated for parasites inside and out, plus Dan says that the large scarlets are much easier to care for on a diet of egg-coated pinkies and fuzzies than those little hatchlings. In the pictures, it looks super clean. The snake is a male. I am really excited.

Good luck with your new scarlet. Keep us posted on how he does for you. Your posts about your minnow eating night snake, have made me really want to get one myself.

That place that was selling that snake, REALLY made me laugh. The other day I saw the ad for a 24" Scarlet Kingsnake, so I checked it out. Then I realized it was a scarlet snake, so I emailed them, and I told them. And they corrected it, and emailed me thanking me for correcting their mistake.

You bought a snake from a place, that couldn't even properly ID the snake.
