"Stabbed" by a Northern Red Belly?

Langly2112 Jun 07, 2005 10:09 PM

As most of you know-or may not know-when a Northern RedBelly is annoyed it "snarls"-the one I caught today did this-but I got stabbbed by something-I thought it was a tooth-then I noticed this on the photo. She was drewing her face beward across my finger when I got stuck.

Has any one ever seen anything like this on a Red Belly before?

Any ideas on this.

Thank-you for the info-I wasn't aware that they had those big teeth in that tiny mouth. I assumed it was harmless. Just interesting. ^_^

Worm Snakes do that too? I'm not overly familiar with those as they are not common here-I've had 2 and none ever snarled. I'll keep that in mind.

Thanks again
