Ok, if you don't know I got a sav from KevinBD.
I stuck Helga in a quarenteen cage for a few weeks. Helga ate and dug in the substrate like a good sav should.
I figured I was right and the only thing wrong was, the lizard was stressed.
I have since put Helga in with my known female, Sassy.
After looking at the pics I took I started to think, "Helga might be a stupid name for a male."
I wanted a better look at the lizard and climbed in to lure it out from it's burrow with a mouse.
Things got crazy real fast. My calm, sweet female ran from her basking spot, tailwhipped the mouse clean across the cage and stood above the burrow Helga was in, hissing the whole time.
Sassy has never hissed or tailwhip before, but she was guarding her new friend. Helga has since left the burrow, "IT" dug and moved in with Sassy in her burrow.
Strange lizards.
I guess they didn't get the memo on monitors not being social.
