Does anyone have any pics of their pregnant females? I thought I knew what I was looking for and kept looking and still I was suprised with my first clutch!

Thanks Katie...seems all the pics I have seen so far are quite obvious! Maybe because Dot is so small I missed them? She's only about 9" long at a bit over 48g.

Whe my first female was gravid I didn't notice either(I wasn't expecting it). I still can't tell with some of my females, sometimes it takes right up until like the day she's going to lay them for them to show up. Each leo is different. I would think on the smaller ones the eggs should show up better.

good point...guess i will just wait and see! i haven't been able to keep the temp constant with the methods i was using so i'm setting up one of those incubator boxes w/ the submersible heater. it's kind of hard to find an incubator when you live in the city!

Just wanted to post this here in case you didn;t check my reply down below:

You can continue using sand if you want, just buy a big bag (50lbs) of washed, fine grain, screened playsand at home depot, it only costs about 2$. Just be aware that using any sand has health risks, but fine grain sand frequently causes no problems.
