erm from what ive read. babies are best kept appart and not in a too big tank. when they are older youd need a 50gal. long not tall.

plastic boxes are fine but if you want tem as pets then you have the problem of that is that they are kinda not great to look at. but as adults make sure they are not more than one male per tank.

but also when babies if you buy them alot of them are unsexed which is a bad thing. oh and when getting one with it being new its probs better getting just one and adding more later.

i havnt any real experianced but thats what ive read from others posts. (dont take everything ive said as right cos i may be a bit off and its only general)but i think its pretty acurate

Dol ost of reseach on leo care before you purchase one. Normals are pretty cheap. I would start with just one until you get the hang of things...its best to house babies seperate to prevent spread of disease, stress related disease, early breeding, male to male fighting etc..etc...

To start a set up you will need a ten gallon tank (or some other containor of equiv size) a safe substrate they cannot injest (paper towels, newspaper, lineliom, tile, indoor/outdoor carpeting, non adhesive shelf liner), 3 hiding spaces (one warm, one cool, one humid/warm), an UTH or low wattage heat bulb (or both), a good thermometer (a digital one with a probe or a temp gun, not the stick on kind), a constant supply of small crickets and mealworms, a water dish, a small dish for calcium, and calcium and vitimin powder.

I dont have time to get into a lot of care issues....do some searches for leopard gecko care. There are also links to good caresheets in some of the breeders signautres. Anyone who is a breeder and has a website that posts on this forum will also have caresheets on their websites.
