Nail Clipping.....

clarinet45 Jun 08, 2005 05:55 AM

I know you are supposed to clip reptiles' nails, and have corn starch handy in case they bleed, but how do you know WHEN you are supposed to clip them?
When/if they scratch you? or if they start to curl to much? I've given feng plenty of wood/rock to climb on, will her nails get worn down naturally?
thanks in advance!

I go by how they look and when they start to dig into me too much. Rocks are like a natural beardie nail file! But, if you start to see them look really pointy, clip just the tip off. If you clip just the tip, you won't run into the quick.
