Without food for your length of time should be ok. Just feed a little more than normal the day before and put a food cup in there before you leave with some gutload in with your insects. The main concern is water. I'm assuming you don't have a automatic misting system and a dripper won't keep dripping for that duration. Maybe if you had a very large dripping system that will hold at least a gallon or two of water it might last 3 days, but then you will need a large container to catch the water also. I have never used the fountain before but is it already in the cage? Have you seen him drink from it? How much of a resevoir of water can that hold? Will it last 3 days? My first trip that I went on when I had my chams was for 4 days and I invested in a automatic misting system...it was pricey for me at the time but well worth it...you might want to consider this. Hope you figure something out and have fun on your trip!

I am getting a cham soon, and had a bearded dragon last year when I went camping for two days. I just left a cup of insects and veggies for my bearded dragon, but obviously chams are more complicated because they do not drink from a dish.

I was thinking when I got my cham this summer and I left, I would give it a shower right before I went so it would be well hydrated for the 2-3 days.

Thats a great idea, so you just put your guy in the tyb and ran the shower? for how long? warm or cooler temp?

What you do is place the cage, or the chameleon on a plant (fake would be less messy), and turn the shower head against the wall, so it mists the cham lightly.
