I was just looking for people's opinion if they like the chuck or the desert ig better as a pet and why.
Thanks.

hey there,
what kind of question is that?! j/k. I really don't know which I personally like better. Having kept both it might be easier to choose you'd think. Well I have had so much more rewarding experiences with the Iggs, I think I'll go with them. Very intelligent lizards, they don't get half as big as their Chuck counterparts, and they are fast as the blazes. So much fun to watch, wild or captive. my .02

My experience has been that the desert iguanas are as exciting as watching grass grow. Chucks have way more personality. I feel that this makes up for their lack of speed. Wait all of my chucks are fast enough to catch crickets!! Go figure!!
I enjoy watching the DIs more than the chuck I have. They seem to be more energetic but not as good natured as my chuck is as far as handling goes but thats probably because I handle them generally only to give them a bath. But for instance right now looking in the cage there is a DI laying in the sand staring at me and thats typical of them.. always out doing something. The chuck on the other hand is hiding in the rocks and I only see it just after the heat lamp turns on and I toss them some greens in the morning... after its good and warm with a full gut I rarely see the chuck again all day. I can remember back when class was in session thru the winter months Id go a week or more without ever seeing the chuck but the food dish was always empty and thats how I determined it was still alive!
