this girl is about 3 months away from her due date and is already huge . i dont like messing with her much but i couldnt stand to see her cage like that .. so since i was gonna disturb her already i decided to get a few shots of her. shes gotten so dark it doesnt even look like the same snake !! the male that bred her was a really light male so we shall see how that goes and what she gives me . i cant wait !!

Isn't that to small for a cage?, or is that just a temp cage?

you really do not need to let the cage get dirty like that Marlon. It does not hurt a gravid female one single bit to move them and keep them and the cage clean, but it really does not take long to open yourself up for health problems, when you are letting your husbandry go like that and I can tell by the photo that the cage has been dirty for a while. I learned that the hard way years ago and I would never allow my animals to sit in filth like that for even a day. Not trying to come down on you my friend, but get her out and keep her and the rest clean. Preventative maintenance is the cure for health problems. Anyway, you were right; " she is a Hoss! ".......Johnson Herp

it looks worse than it really was . the newspaper she was sitting on has a few colors cause it was a cartoon or something . but she didnt sit on that not even for a day . but i do know what you mean . i dont leave em in their filth for very long either . everyone that sees my animals always are impressed with how good and clean they are .

That is cool, I just know that there are alot of herpers out there that believe it is a risk to move gravid females and it is not. They ship them in from the wild gravid all of the time and they are probably handled pretty ruff at times and they usually come in and deliver there babies without any problems. As we talked about before, she really looks like she is from a Brazil locality. Her saddle count is definately not Suriname and the short tail does not coincide either. Regardless, I would say they will be some nice looking B.C.C. babies come out of that.......Johnson Herp
