hey i just got my new beardie its still a hatchling like 6 inchs snout to tail i just started feeding him crickets. what kind of wild insects can i feed him

"Wild" food can carry a variety of parasites and other nasties such as pesticides and fertilizers that can be VERY HARMFUL. Even if YOU do not treat around your house and lawn a neighbor might...definately not worth the risk.
Some 'wild' bugs/insects can instantly KILL your dragon (lightning bugs for one).
There is still a risk of parasites with purchased/farmed feeders--but they are still pretty safe.
If you are trying to control costs while feeding an ALWAYS hungry baby try offering it pellet food mixed in with its salad.
When mine was a baby I ordered crickets in bulk--$15 per 1000 shipped. One batch would last about a month.
I now have a silkworm colony established. Both of my dragons love their silkworms!
Crickets and silkworms are probably the safest live prey to feed a baby.

dracosmom, care to elaborate on starting a silkie colony? I've ordered a couple 200ct orders so far and my Drayko is hammering them down. Thinking of starting a colony of my own.
