Help for all the people that get Crix under there Paper Towels...

WiteLeo Jun 08, 2005 05:03 PM

For the past couple of years I have been using a mothod of paper towel placement that has stopped crickets from hiding under the towel and STAYING ALIVE!

What I do is lay the paper towel down like normal and wet it with water. This will make it stick to the surface of the cage it is in. After a hour or two the paper towel has dried and it is still stuck to the surface of the glass/plastic. I only wet the towel enough to make it stick, not drop and puddle. This has helped me a ton with mealworms as well that get out of the dish.

Here are pictures of what I do. Wet it a bit...

..and let dry.

Just wanted you guys to know this if you haven't already seen it. I have never read in a care sheet about this.

Please ask any questions, and give any comments. THANKS!

Austin

I've heard (er rather read) you guys talking about it. I never really needed the method unitl now since I was using tile. I switched everybody over to a rack and so I use paper towels now so this method will come in handy. Thanks for reminding me.
