No.I know what a rough green snake is.They specifically said it was a Florida tree snake. It looked like a rough green snake except it had blue towards its head.It was probally a snake that never had a name and thats what he called the species.

there isnt such in florida , it might have escaped but there is nothin like that.
zach
it was rough green snake.
I think I recall that episode. I as I remember it was a green. Remember that stage lighting is not allways the most accurate-hence the "bluish" look to the head on camera. As far as Florida Tree Snake goes...That is a non-term as no snake found in this state bears that name. What you have is a contrived label someone who is not snake knowledgeable put on it-Much like a Coachwhip being called a "Hoop Snake" or a Chain King being called a Thunder and Lightening snake.
Some rough greens do show some blue however.
As far as it goes about it being a new or rare species-No way.
