I have been asking questions about breeding boas on here as well as looking at other peoples questions and answers for awhile. I learned a lot. I took my albino boa and put her with a hypo boa in November with no breeding happening. So I put the hypo with my other hypo thinking that maybe this year is not in the cards. The two hypos tried to breed. Then I realized the one that Ithought was a male was a female and vice versa. So I put the right boa with the albino and they started breeding. I separated them a few weeks after breeding activity stopped. I did'nt notice a swelling in the female but my wife thought she did and so we estimated May 21 to be the birthing date. It came and went. I stopped feeding the boa in late March. I was off to bed for the day and lo and behold the babies have arrived. They look wonderful and I only seen 2 slugs. I don't think she is finished.
Thanks to everyone on here and there willingness to share there experiences and secrets. Oh yeah....I do have a question. What is the best way to sex the babies? Do you probe them or 'pop' them or is there a better way?
Thanks much,
Dan Wilson
