now that eggs are hatching, i've got to think more about selling them... the father is a hypo high yellow with a small amount of carrot tail (about a half an inch worth)
the mother is normal looking, but het for lavender and throws lavenders mostly (bought from a friend, saw the babies)
the first baby is very young still, only born friday but shed once... lost a lot of black in the first shed and is a very very bright yellow.
still 6 eggs left to see how they turn out.
i'm thinking about pricing for the babies when i sell them, either privately or to a very nice family owned pet store. i dont want to be high priced, but a lot of time and money went into these guys that i don't really want to just throw away, so i can continue this. truth is tho, i really don't know what would be considered fair... at reptile shows, normal babies sell for about 15 bucks each... but the next step up from that is like 35-50 for any kind of morph. if someone wants to breed with a lot of diversity, but keep away from the extremely expensive morphs, these guys would definitly bring some surprises....
what do you guys think, any advice is appreciated! to whoever breeds- how much do you sell your babies for, and what are they?
all my babies are incubated for females.
