I have my first baby beardies bor on Monday and they are not eating yet.Is this normal? If so how long before they will.Ambient temp.in the terrarium is 94-95,basking site is lingering around 112.Tiny crickets have been offered, along with small less than 1/2 inch silkworms. When I get home in an hour or so I'm gonna try waxworms.

yeah they don't eat right away. when they hatch, they are still absorbing the yolk for their egg. It can take 3 to 5 days for them to start eating. I'd stick to feeding them just cricket for a while or at least until they they get a little bigger. I've never used silkworms, so i'm not sure of their size, but wax worms are to big.

You may want to jack up the basking spot for them to 110-115. babies need slightly higher temperatures than adults.

no problem...i was once in your place before. as soon as they are hatched they are so fragile and all you want to do is your best job in careing for them....before long you'll be feeding them 200 crix a day....have fun
