Hello,
Welcome back. There are a few people that are in your area. Ian Gniazdowski and Outback Reptiles are in Alexandria, Va. Brian Sharp is in the area also. There is also Dominion reptiles. There also is the Northern Virginia Reptile show in August, in Manassas and I think they all attend or there will be other herpers there in the area that I don't know that can help you.

Thanks guys for all your kind words. I fills my heart with pride to know that people appreciate what we do, even though I dont believe I deserve thanks for doing what I love to do. And thanks for the good info also. I will be there in August and will look this show up!

to find any time at all to go herping over there in the field? Good luck with getting started again, I did after a 9 or so year hiatus from reptiles last July and wish I had never bailed. Take care.

You didnt have to go far outside out tent (or even leave it) to find saw scaled vipers. They were all over the place. It was too dangerous to get off the beaten track even inside the wire (landmines) to do much herping though. I did see lots of the famous camel spiders also. Some were as big as 6 inches across.

My bro-in-law served 1.5 years in afgan (MI assigned to 10th Mountain). With everything in Iraq the news seems to sometimes forget about you guys over there. Remember that (as you have seen above) you all have not been forgotten and are appriciated greatly. Welcome home and THANK YOU!
